We recently completed a beautiful kitchen remodel for a lovely couple here in Bend. They wanted a fresh, inviting redo of their kitchen, without breaking the bank. High design with a reasonable budget was our assignment. This can be a tricky task – here is how we handled it.
Paint the Cabinets
Instead of removing all the cabinets and starting over, which would have added thousands to the budget, we decided to paint the cabinets and only replace one counter top. With the two color paint job, and new hardware, we were able to give our happy customers a brand new kitchen, look and feel, while speeding up the process and saving big bucks!
Appliances
All the existing appliances were in good shape, so we decided to reuse them. As you can see they look great in the new kitchen. We extended the island by adding one new cabinet and space for a brand new, modern wine refrigerator.
New Lighting
By adding new lighting we were able to make a bold statement without a big investment. Two new pendants over the island and a new pendant over the kitchen sink was all it took to take this kitchen from zero to hero. New lighting is the fastest way for you to enhance and revive any area of the house.
Small Details
Other smaller projects enhanced the look of the final product. Low cost items like removing the arched cabinet from above the sink. Wrapping the oven hood with dark, stained white oak, and adding a modern subway backsplash, completed our mission for high design on a reasonable budget.
